Bus Éireann Statement on school bus accident in north Cork
Bus Éireann can confirm a vehicle sub-contracted for its school transport services - travelling on the road from Pound Cross, Rathcormac to Ballyhooly - was involved in an accident at 8.20 this morning, which resulted in the bus leaving the road. The bus is operated by Glenferry Coaches and was on route to several post primary schools in Fermoy. The emergency services were immediately contacted and attended the scene of the accident.

The launch of Ireland’s largest anti-racism campaign was launched on 22 April 2015 and Bus Éireann is very proud to be supporting such a good imitative. The campaign was launched by the Immigrant Council of Ireland and the National Transport Authority and posters have been placed across all public transport links in Dublin and around our Travel Centre’s and onboard our bus services throughout Ireland. The campaign is aimed at encouraging the general public to stand up to racism and report any incidents they may observe.
